The University of Rwanda (UR) and Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) first year students acquire the high quality POSITIVO i5, specifically those in year 1-4 on government of Rwanda Scholarship scheme and this will continue to self –sponsored students and those in Private Universities, as well as teachers in primary and secondary schools.

In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Ignace GATARE the Principal of the College of Science and Technology (CST) thanks the government of Rwanda for the efforts invested in developing the Education sector and encourage the students to use the i5 laptop at their maximum capacity.” The teacher is your facilitator and the internet as well as the laptop should open your mind for the global vision in order to be a knowledge based society” said. Speaking to the occasion, Mrs. Paula INGABIRE the Minister of ICT and Innovation who is the guest of honor says that it is really good to be back at home as she graduated from CST and promise to come many times at the college. She assures the high quality POSITIVO i5 compared to the last version of laptops which were distributed to students and got damaged after short time. She also promises to replace those damaged by the new version.
As the Minister of ICT and Innovation, she encourages students to use the computers to compete at the global market. “This is not something to be used during free hours but it should be used most of the time. For people in Computer Engineering, please use these laptops to develop new applications and they are going to help in improving the level of your language and to have more experience.” Paula said
