Mr. NDUSHABANDI Jean Bosco

Ndushabandi joined the IT Department, School of ICT in 2015 where in parallel served the University as Director of IT Governance, Audit and Assurance in the CIO office at the UR Headquarters in charge of strategic planning, policy development and implementation, ICT projects development and implementation and ICT monitoring and Evaluation.
Before joining the Academic Corp, Ndushabandi has occupied senior positions. He has served the University as Deputy Director of ICT Center from January 2008 to May 2014 where he has been actively involved in various Digitization projects within the University for more than 15 years, that include the implementation of the Integrated Education Business Management Information System (2011-2014), Moodle Learning Management System, Disaster Recovery Plan, Data Center Construction, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory among others. He has gained extensive experience in the design, development, implementation, evaluation and project management of ICT projects.
Ndushabandi is also a Junior Researcher with 1 publication in International Journal.

Bio:

Pelin Mutanguha has been a faculty member since 2011 and is currently an assistant lecturer in the department of Information Technology, teaching computer science and software engineering courses.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology and his masters degree in Information Systems from the University of Rwanda.
Pelin Mutanguha is also a Research Associate in the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resource Management, University of Rwanda and currently working on Rwanda Biodiversity Information System as a software developer.
Pelin's current interests are in Biodiversity systems, Data analytics, engineering and machine learning (NLP), DevOpSec and information systems security.
He has extensive industry experience in software engineering, cloud systems and in delivering corporate training.

Dr. Peace Bamurigire is a lecturer with eleven years of experience working at the University of Rwanda. Peace specializes in embedded computing systems and is responsible for lecturing and researcher's other researchers' employees on using progressive systems and applications, including ICT software, and designing and programming IoT devices. Peace is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Peace graduated from the University of Rwanda in 2022 with PhD degree in Embedded Computing Systems in Internet of Things. While in 2022.Peace is inspired daily by her courage and her two daughters. In her free time, Peace likes to solve problems, think of ways to help others, and help those who need it.
Peace general area of expertise in computer engineering is developing and improving existing computer-based technologies, systems, and solutions, working with computer programmers and information technology professionals, designing and engineering operating systems, software, hardware, networks and communications, and databases, and solving technological problems.

Much of Peace recent work has focused on developing smart agriculture using machine-learning techniques linked to weather forecasts, designing waste management applications, designing and developing a smart and portable vital sign screener called "health neighbor smart kit" (hensk), developing a low-complexity facial recognition algorithm for mask checking and alerting accordingly to allow or deny access or entry, and developing a mobile application.
Peace did different trainings like Lora Technologies in Italy ,Internet of Things Architecture, Protocols, Standards, Matlab, Security in ,Networking and Simulation in Network in India, Mobile Application Development(2015) by IBM ,Mobile Administration Bevelopment(2015) by IBM , and Ilab (2015) .

Dr.James Rwigema is the Head of Master's Program at the African Center of Excellence in Internet of Things (ACEIoT) and a Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems , School of ICT , College of Science and Technology, University of Rwanda.
Dr. James received a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering and Information Technology from University of Rwanda college of Science and Technology (Former KIST) in 2008, He obtained a Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from University of Rwanda (former National University of Rwanda “NUR”) in 2013, Dr. James Also has an Advanced Diploma in Mobile Computing from India.
Dr. James obtained a Ph.D Degree in Image Processing using Artificial intelligence and Machine learning Techniques (AI&ML) from Chung-Ang University , Seoul , South Korea in 2020.

Mr. Frodouard Minani received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSc in Computer Science) with First Class Honours from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology (former National University of Rwanda “NUR”) in 2014 and Master of Science in ICT (Operational Communication option) from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology (former KIST) in 2017. Mr. Frodouard Minani has been the Coordinator of the School of ICT at Huye Campus from December 2019 till September 2022. Mr. Frodouard also did different responsibilities in the School of ICT such as E-learning Champions from 2017 and chairing the Online presence committee of the College of Science and Technology. He is a Member of the E-Learning Ecosystem Management Team at the Operational Level for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program E-learning Initiative at the University of Rwanda. He participated in some international research conferences where he published some peer-reviewed journal papers and conference papers. Currently, he is the Assistant Lecturer in the School of ICT, College of Science and Technology, University of Rwanda and a Ph.D Student at OSAKA University, Japan in the area of Intelligent Networking Systems. His present research interest includes wireless sensor networks, network security, mobile communications, 5G system architecture & network slicing, Cellular IoT, and next-generation networks with deep learning (DL) and neural networks (NNs).
