Bio:
MUKUNDUFITE Fabien is a Lecturer at university of Rwanda, college of science and technology, school of engineering in department of electrical and electronics engineering (EEE). He has a master degree in electrical power engineering obtained from North China Electrical Power University in 2012. He has expertise in powers systems and used to lecturing Electrical Service Design, Renewable energy sources, high voltage engineering, electrical energy utilization modules and supervises different final year projects in the field of electrical power systems.
MUKUNDUFITE Fabien is currently a PhD student under African Center of Excellence in energy and sustainable development (ACEESD). My research topic is: “The Development of a Smart Grid Management System for Electricity Generation and Distribution in Rwanda” His research areas are smart grid, energy efficiency and clean energy sources. He is a member of UR-Team to support the implementation of priority skills for growth project at EEE department level.
MUKUNDUFITE Fabien did certified trainings aiming at improving his technical skills including:
– Training program of DACUM Methodology for Curriculum Development, organized by RMI, in 2021
– Didactic equipment training course organized by DE LORENZO SPA at UR, specializing in Power system protection, power plant engineering, Renewable energy, in 2021
– Training course on small hydro power technology in Rwanda sponsored by Ministry of commerce (CHINA) and organized by National Research Institute for Rural electrification (Rwanda), in 2019
– 10 days training on didactic laboratory equipment organized by Lucas Nulle academy in partnership with UR/ACEESD, specializing in Power engineering/Power electronics, in 2019
– 30 days professional training in operation and maintenance of grid connected PV power plants (Scatec Solar Rwanda, Rwamagana), in 2019
– 10 days training on didactic laboratory equipment organized by Lucas Nulle academy in partnership with UR/ACEESD, specializing in Power engineering/Microgrid/smart grid, 2019
– Training course in scientific writing of journal and conference papers held in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania at NM-AIST, in 2018
