Bio:

Mr. MBONABUCYA Celestin holds a Master’s degree in ICT with a specialization in Software Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Science. His Master’s thesis is entitled: "AN APPROPRIATE SOLUTION TO MAPPING PATIENT IDENTIFIERS AMONG DIFFERENT HEALTH CARE APPLICATIONS". He is the Academic Staff at the School of ICT, College of Science and Technology and He is the Research and Innovation Coordinator in the School of ICT, College of Science and Technology. MBONABUCYA Celestin is now the Senior Software Development Analyzer, Designer, and Consultant. MBONABUCYA Celestin is the Winner of the Sliver Prize during the 2017 Youth Connekt Africa after a successful presentation of the MWISOKO Project which will be used to market and promote rural businesses with a focus on Small and Medium Businesses in Rwanda. He is also the Winner of an Innovation Grant from the University of Rwanda to develop the UMUSANZU WANJYE Project, which will be used by Citizens to send real time notification-alerts on Public Infrastructure Management as part of their contributions to the management of public resources. MBONABUCYA Celestin contributed to the Development of the Teacher Recruitment System (TRS) for MINEDUC to recruit teachers for Secondary, Primary, and Pre-Primary schools in Rwanda under the support of the Mastercard Foundation through the management of UR Holdings Group Ltd.
He also contributed to the Development of the Teacher Management Information System (TMIS) for Rwanda Basic Education Board under the support of UNICEF - Rwanda, and IPA-Rwanda. MBONABUCYA Celestin was a Team Leader in the Development of Catchment Monitoring and Evaluation for REMA in collaboration with the Center of Biodiversity and Natural Resources Management (COEB). He also coordinated the development of the Market Authorization System (MAMS) at the Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority (Rwanda FDA). He also contributes to the administration of the Laidlaw Scholarship Program as the Coordinator at the College of Science and Technology, University of Rwanda.
