Academic Staff

Theoneste Murangira is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, School of ICT.
He holds a BSc. In Physics from the National University of Rwanda and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Anna University in India (obtained from PSG College of Technology).
His research interests include Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming Languages, Software Development and Artificial Intelligence. Theoneste Murangira has a long experience in teaching and curriculum design and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (PCTLHE). He has served as Acting Head of the Department of Computer and Software Engineering from December 2018 to May 2022. From June 2022 to date, he is the Acting Head of the Department of Computer Science.
In his spare time, Theoneste Murangira engages in volunteer work with local Civile Society Organizations, and currently chairs the Board of Directors of CLADHO (an Umbrella of 11 Human Rights Organizations operating in Rwanda).
