Mr. Omar is highly motivated and dedicated professional Information Communication Engineer, Software Engineer, and AI enthusiast. With a good record of accomplishment of exceeding expectations. Eager and able to use his varied experience in the ICT and Telecommunication industry, combined with excellent knowledge, interpersonal communication skills, attitude and attention to detail to offer expert guidance and make informed decisions on time within the scope and budget. A theoretical knowledge of current and future communications technologies, with the rare practical experience over 15 years working in Academics combining Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Data Science) to create solutions that is efficient, adaptive and delightful to use produces a sharp analytical mind able to balance the needs of both parties on any given project.
Mr. Omar received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and Information Technology from University of Rwanda college of science and Technology (Former KIST) in 2005. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Information Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China in 2010. He is currently a PhD student (since 2020) in Computer Science majoring in Software Engineering from University of Rwanda College of Science and Technology, school of Information Communication Technology. He is research interest cover most aspects of Exploring fraud detection with Machine and Deep learning in related fields such as smart meters, credit cards datasets. He is applying AI and IoT in different domains to provide implementable solutions to real-world problems in real life.
