Mr Aimable NGENDAHAYO is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda in the department of mechanical and Energy engineering, with a teaching experience of more than 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kigali institute of science and technology (KIST, current university of Rwanda)-Rwanda January 2013. He also holds a master of science in engineering, under the program of Renewable energy from the University of Agder (UIA)-Norway, June 2017. Mr NGENDAHAYO is a PhD candidate at the African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development at the University of Rwanda. His working topic is “Enabling Productive Application of Energy in Rwanda”. NGENDAHAYO and his colleagues at the University of Rwanda in partnership with EPC Africa-ENERGICOTEL LTD have won a grant for “Implementation of a complete green Public mobility system by retrofitting existing Petrol driven motorcycles into electrical motorcycles in June 2020”. His research interest is in materials that can convert energy from one type to another and that will be the important pillar in a future fully electrified society; thermoelectrics, batteries, fuel cells and solar cell
