Bio:
Mr Emmanuel Ngendahayo is an Assistant lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology (UR-CST), in the Department of Chemistry. Emmanuel is also a Research Associate at the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity & Natural Resources Management (NRM), Rwanda. He is a Certified Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (EIA) Practitioner at the Rwanda Association of Professional Environmental Practitioners, RAPEP. Emmanuel has 12 years of experience in teaching and research in higher learning institutions. He is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the Department of Water Resources Engineering/ Lund University, Sweden. His research interests are Hydrogeology and Groundwater Resources Management. His Ph.D. research is about the ’’understanding of the geogenica and anthropogenic processes that govern the hydrogeochemistry of groundwater in a semi-arid region” where he is interested in understanding the natural and anthropogenic processes controlling groundwater quality in these regions. Mr. Ngendahayo holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Water Resources & Environmental Management, obtained from the UR, Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Applied Chemistry, obtained from the UR. He also holds and Advanced International Certificate in Solutions for Global Water Sustainability, obtained from University of Antwerp, Belgium; an Advanced International Certificate in Sustainable Urban Water and Sanitation; (NIRAS/ WaterAid/ SIDA); and an Advanced International Certificate in Groundwater Data Collection and Interpretation, obtained from the UNESCO IHE Delft, The Netherlands.
