NIYONZIMA Jean de Dieu is an assistant Lecturer in the Physics Department at the College of Science and Technology, University of Rwanda from which he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Fundamental Physics in 2017. He holds a Master of Sciences in Mathematical Sciences from AIMS-Rwanda in 2019. He is currently a PhD student in Physics and Chemistry of materials at Sorbonne Université -UPMC (Université Pierre Marie Currie) at Institu des nanosiences de Paris (INSP). His research interests are focused on topological defects in smectic liquid crystal, nanostructured functional surfaces and thin films and their advanced characterization by grazing incidence small-angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS).
