Bio:
Antoine Nsabimana, Professor of Biotechnology, University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology, School of Science, Department of Biology, Research Associate to the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resource Management. He holds a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from KwaZulu-Natal University and MSc in Biology with specialization in Bioorganic chemistry, Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russian Federation). His research interests lie in Biotechnology, Germplasm conservation, breeding and environmental sciences. He has supervised more than 80 undergraduate students in the area of biotechnology and Microbiology since 2010 and recently a PhD student has been graduated under his supervison and currently he is supervising 6 PhD students working on different topics related to Biotechnology, Conservation Biology and Environment. He has published more than 20 papers in peer reviewed journals and 5 book chapters and one report. He is involved in different projects as PI or Co-PI and has good collaboration with Universite Libre de Brussel, KTH, Lund University, Syracuse University and University of California Santa Cruz and Los Angeles and Universite de Grenoble Alpes
