Academic Staff

Mr. Jean de la Croix SINARUGURIYE is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, University of Rwanda-College of Science and Technology. He is currently teaching Fuel Science & Combustion, Engineering Thermodynamics and Engineering Mechanics. Mr. Sinaruguriye is a holder of MSc. Degree in Energy Systems obtained from Gävle University, Sweden in 2013. He obtained his “Licence” in Physics in 1992 from Université Nationale du Rwanda (UNR) and his “Baccalauréat” from the same University in 1992. After eight years of working as a teacher in various secondary schools in Rwanda and one year as a Teaching Assistant at UNR-Ruhengeri Campus in 1993/94, Mr.Sinaruguriye has been teaching in Higher Education since 2000, starting with the former Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) which became the College of Science and Technology (CST) of University of Rwanda. Mr. Sinaruguriye taught as a visiting Lecturer at Institut Supérieur de Développement et d’Investissement/ ISDI (2002-2004), Institut d’Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri/INES (2003-2006), Kigali Institute of Education/ KIE (2005), Université d’Agriculture et Technologie de Kibungo/UNATECK (2006-2007) and Saint Joseph Integrated Technical College/SJITC( 2010-2014). He was also an examiner of Physics at the Rwanda National Examination Council for the period 1998-2010.
