Bio:
Eng. Emmanuel is an Assistant Lecturer in the department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering. He is the founding coordinator of Transportation Engineering Program. He has a strong track record in engineering consultancy in the transportation and road engineering field with specialty in Highways and Pavement Engineering.

He obtained his BSc (Hon) in Civil Engineering and Environmental Technology as the best student in 2011 for Kigali Institute of Science and Technology. He obtained a MEng in Civil Engineering with specialization of Pavement Engineering by Research in 2014 from Stellenbosch University and has been awarded a Cum Laude Disc. His field of interest is in bitumen-aggregate systems interactions, Development of new pavement construction materials, Add Value to locally available materials, design of new road pavement structures and rehabilitation design, reuse of waste and materials optimization, Transport systems design and modelling. Since 2016 he contributed in the development of 5 concept note and research grant proposal. He has published 1 peer reviewed journal paper and 2 conference papers so far and supervised more than 10 undergraduate final year project.

He is currently serving as the Vice Chairperson of Rwanda Housing Authority Board of Directors and also as the chair of the Audit committee of the Board. He is an active Corporate Member of the Rwanda Institute of Engineer (CIER) and a member of the National Technical Committee 55 (TC055) on Roads and Highways Engineering Standards.
