UWIBAMBE JEANNINE

Jeannine UWIBAMBE is an Assistant Lecturer in the Electrical and Electronics department (EEE) at the University of Rwanda/College of Science and Technology (UR/CST). She has a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy from University of Agder in Norway obtained in 2017. She is used to lecturing the Electrical energy utilization, Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Sources modules with 9 years of experience in teaching.
Jeannine UWIBAMBE is currently a PhD student at Swedish university of agricultural sciences (SLU). Her research area is in bio-waste management for electricity and bio-char production. She has experience in using software when solving technical problems using advanced technology and programming skills. She participated in different projects implementation including:
(i) EYEC: Engaged Youth in Energy Conservation, STEM related fields & Schools (TechWomen Alumnae and mentors from Rwanda and USA, 2017-2018)
(ii) Her2Voice Project: Inspire the next generation of women in STEM (TechWomen Alumnae and mentors from Rwanda and USA, 2014-2015, Budget: 20 thousand USD)
(iii) Published a Paper entitled: “Let there be light: Electrification of rural communities in Rwanda using solar PV systems
(iv) Smart Energy Solutions for Africa (SESA) Innovation proposal,2021 and won a grant of Euros 23,807.50 in which the university of Rwanda has partnered with other international organizations/ Companies/ Universities
