Bio:
Dr. Jean de Dieu Uwisengeyimana is a lecturer and an academic researcher at the University of Rwanda. In June 2022, he received his degree of Doctor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China. In October 2017, he received his Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Cukurova University, Adana, Turkey. In September 2013, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the former Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).
He is deeply engaged in neuroimaging, computational neuroscience, and clinical research, with many SCI/SCIE-indexed relevant research articles. His research involves integrating gene expression, high-density time-series data such as EEG, EMG, ECG, and MRI (3T and 7T) and using neuroimaging tools and machine learning techniques to study the structure and function of the nervous system and to investigate various brain mechanisms such as sleep, cognition, and behavior, as well as assessing brain health, diagnosing brain changes in disease states, and predicting emotional states.
