Bio:
Engineer Jean Sauveur Uwintwari is a full-time academic staff at University of Rwanda College of Science and Technology, School of Engineering, department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering. He teaches the modules related to structural engineering and design. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the former National University of Rwanda and Master of technology in Civil Engineering with specialization in structural Engineering from Sharda University, Uttar Pradesh, India.

He has done trainings in engineering software from “Techofaster pvt Ltd” an Autodesk authorized training center based in New Delhi, India, He has also done a post graduate training course on Design, calibration, operation, and maintenance of hydraulic structures in Cairo, Egypt.
He served as a part time lecturer in “Integrated Polytechnic Regional Center Eastern”, “Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College”, “Musanze Polytechnic College” where taught the modules related to structural engineering and design. He served as program coordinator of Building construction technology option in department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering, University of Rwanda and He has been occasionally appointed as university’s structural Engineer in University of Rwanda’s construction projects. He participated in a good number of projects study and implementation as a consultant engineer and Project manager.
His research area includes Structural optimization and Building Information Modelling. He is a registered corporate Engineer in the Institute of Engineers Rwanda (IER), and a member of Technical Committee on Fire Safety Standards, in Rwanda Standard Board (RSB), representing University of Rwanda.
